  Every Sunday the Slim Man Family would gather at my grandmother Angela's house for these big Italian dinners.

Angela would cook a big pot of tomato sauce with meatballs and sausages, she would make breaded chicken and veal cutlets, and everyone would help.

And then my father, my mother, and my uncle all started getting into cooking, primarily Italian, but my Mom could also cook well in all styles--French, Italian, Indian, Spanish. We used to read cookbooks together at the dinner table to figure out what to make for our next meal.

I started cooking when I was in my twenties, and have been cooking ever since...about 5 years. I like to cook mostly Italian, with a healthy twist--I create my own recipes, taking my favorites and Slimming them down.
